POLK COUNTY, Fla. – A Zephyrhills woman was arrested in Lakeland by the Polk County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO) on Friday evening after being found in possession of a stolen vehicle and methamphetamine.
According to the PCSO, a deputy spotted a white 2022 Subaru Outback, which had been reported stolen to the Zephyrhills Police Department a week prior, traveling on West Bella Vista Street in northwest Lakeland at around 7:30 p.m. on March 28th.
The deputy followed the vehicle while other units responded to the area.

The Outback turned onto Waldrup Lane and entered a mobile home park. The driver then exited the vehicle and attempted to flee on foot.
The deputy quickly parked his patrol car and apprehended the suspect on foot. During the arrest, the suspect dropped a small tin containing methamphetamine.
The suspect was identified as 34-year-old Mariah Jean Fisher of Zephyrhills.

Fisher was arrested and claimed she was unaware of the contents of the tin, stating that someone gave it to her at a gas station and she had not looked inside.
Fisher was transported to the Polk County Jail and charged with grand theft motor vehicle, possession of methamphetamine, and resisting.
