A 29-year-old Florida man was arrested Sunday after abducting a woman he met on the “Facebook Dating” app, forcing her to stay in his house against her will as he sexually molested and beat her.

According to court documents, Caleb Fast was booked into Escambia County Jail on Sunday and charged with one count of kidnapping, false imprisonment, violence, aggravated assault, and sexual assault.

Deputies from the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office responded to an emergency call at St. John’s Episcopal Church in the 400 block of Live Oak Avenue in Pensacola, Florida, on Sunday at approximately 4:53 a.m.

First responders discovered the victim, and deputies described the woman as having “an obvious injury to her right eye, which was completely swollen shut” and looking “visibly shaken and nervous.”

The woman told detectives that she and Fast had gotten together via the Facebook dating app and had been dating for roughly two weeks before the assault. The victim stated that although she had gone to Fast’s house on Thursday of her own free will, he had refused to let her leave on Friday. Rather, she claimed he reached for a pistol and threatened to kill her if she attempted to flee.

Fast allegedly “got angry with her and punched her repeatedly in the face” while she was being kept against her will, which resulted in the injury to her eye. Then, according to reports, he threatened to kill her if she tried to leave.

According to the affidavit, “[The victim] advised that after some time had passed, [Fast] told her to take off her clothes. [The victim] stated she told Fast she didn’t want to. [The victim] indicated that due to Fast hitting her, she didn’t want to be further injured, so she went to the back bedroom, on the right, where she removed her clothes.”

The woman told deputies that Fast then sexually attacked her.

According to the victim, Fast had imprisoned her since Thursday.

According to the affidavit, the victim passed out after being inebriated from a bottle of wine on Sunday and fled Fast’s house. After fleeing the house, she made her way to St. John’s Episcopal Church and made contact with law enforcement.

Fast was taken into jail by the authorities after they secured an arrest warrant for him. Records indicate that he is being held on a $167,000 bond.
