OutKick learned that Facebook temporarily blocked users from sharing its interview with former President Donald Trump, which aired on Maintaining with Tyrus.
A reader alerted OutKick after they were unable to share the YouTube link of the interview on Facebook, receiving the message: “Your content couldn’t be shared because this goes against our Community Standards.”
This issue also reportedly affected an earlier interview with Trump conducted by OutKick’s Clay Travis, though similar interviews with Vice President Kamala Harris were not blocked, according to Outkick.

“OutKick inquired with Meta, Facebook’s parent company, on Tuesday as to why users were unable to share our interview with a presidential candidate. We contacted several members of Meta’s team. Only one responded. The official said the restriction on sharing the link was “an error” which they fixed after we reached out,” said OutKick’s Bobby Burack.
“Great, but why did it happen in the first place? What was the “error?” We asked Meta for a specific explanation as to what the error was that prevented users from sharing the Trump interview. After much back and forth, Meta finally said “their system was having issues with some links generated by third-party URL shorteners,” said Burack.
In the interview, Trump discussed potential policy ideas, including the possibility of eliminating taxes for military personnel, veterans, police officers, and other public servants. Tyrus, the host, suggested this as a way to honor the sacrifice of those who serve the country. Trump expressed interest, pointing out that other countries offer similar benefits and that such a policy could address recruitment challenges in the military and law enforcement.
Trump also touched on broader national security concerns, stating that the U.S. faces greater threats from internal opposition than from foreign adversaries like China or Russia. He singled out figures like Rep. Adam Schiff and reiterated his critique of the “fake news” media, which he claimed distorts his image.

Tyrus also asked Trump why the media rarely highlights his personal acts of generosity, such as his support for Nelson Mandela and charitable donations. Trump responded that he doesn’t seek recognition for his good deeds but expressed frustration with the media’s portrayal of him.
The interview covered Trump’s views on national security, his personal values, and his ongoing political priorities as he campaigns for the 2024 presidential election.
