Forget the overpriced popcorn and sticky floors; the real action at Epic Theatres of Palm Coast last Sunday was in the aisles. Ashley Nenna, 33, decided to spice up the movie-going experience by accusing her partner of checking out other women in the theater.
Apparently, Nenna’s jealousy got the best of her, as she allegedly slapped her partner twice, sending his glasses flying and causing a ruckus that would make any Hollywood director proud.
Deputies arrived on the scene to find Nenna in the hallway, allegedly emitting a strong odor of alcohol and refusing to identify herself. After a bit of a shouting match, she was escorted outside, where her alleged uncooperativeness earned her a pair of handcuffs.

The victim confirmed that Nenna had indeed slapped him, perhaps proving that love is blind… but it can also be a bit handsy after a few drinks.
Nenna was arrested for Domestic Battery, Disorderly Intoxication in a Public Place, and Obstruction Without Violence, likely putting a damper on any future date nights at the cinema.
“Instead of leaving the theater to have an adult conversation, Nenna decided to resort to violence inside a cinema where others were trying to enjoy a movie,” said Sheriff Staly. “At no point in a relationship should anyone decide to attack a significant other in their life or interrupt others just trying to enjoy a holiday watching a movie. Now she knows what it’s like to visit the Green Roof Inn because of her antics!”

So, the next time you head to the movies, remember: keep your eyes on the screen and your hands to yourself. Otherwise, you might end up with a starring role in your own real-life drama.
