One of the most puzzling things about contemporary politics – albeit not really – is that those on the left who relentlessly criticize America never want to leave to make a life somewhere else.
Take Black Lives Matter, for example.
In 2016 BLM effused praise for Cuban communist dictator Fidel Castro after he died.
“We are feeling many things as we awaken to a world without Fidel Castro. There is an overwhelming sense of loss, complicated by fear and anxiety. Although no leader is without their flaws, we must push back against the rhetoric of the right and come to the defense of El Comandante,” BLM said in a statement.
“As Fidel ascends to the realm of the ancestors, we summon his guidance, strength, and power as we recommit ourselves to the struggle for universal freedom. Fidel Vive!” BLM added, also tweeting “Rest in Power #FidelCastro.”
Breitbart noted that some BLM activists have also supported Venezuela’s successive, dictatorial strongmen, Hugo Chavez and Nicola Maduro.
More recently, after BLM defended the Cuban regime against the liberty-seeking demonstrators and blamed the unrest occurring in America’s island neighbor on the United States, Sen. Marco Rubio made an offer:
“My office stands ready to help the leaders of the Black Lives Matter organization emigrate to #Cuba,” the Florida Republican said on Twitter.
The offer came after Rubio condemned BLM’s support for the Cuban government.
“The extortionist ring known as the Black Lives Matter organization took a break today from shaking down corporations for millions & buying themselves mansions to share their support for the Communist regime in #Cuba,” Rubio said.
