HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. – Early voting starts on Monday in Hillsborough County. Voters can cast their ballots from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily through November 3 at any of the 27 Early Voting locations across the county. This differs from Election Day, when voters must vote at the polling place designated for their precinct.

Supervisor of Elections Craig Latimer emphasized the importance of early voting, particularly for those impacted by recent storms. “I am happy to report that our Early Voting plans have remained intact, even after two hurricanes,” Latimer said. “I strongly encourage voters who may be displaced or facing storm-related issues to take advantage of the convenience of Early Voting.”

One notable change is the closure of the West Tampa Branch Library due to hurricane damage. Voting for this location has been moved to the David M Barksdale Center, a site familiar to voters from previous elections when the library was unavailable.

Voters are reminded to bring a Florida Driver License or another acceptable form of photo and signature ID when voting in person. A full list of acceptable IDs, as well as Early Voting locations and a helpful video on the voting process, can be found at VoteHillsborough.gov.

In addition to in-person voting, all Early Voting sites feature Secure Ballot Intake Stations where voters can drop off their Vote By Mail ballots during Early Voting hours. The deadline to request a Vote By Mail ballot is October 24 at 5 p.m., and requests can be made by calling (813) 612-4180 or visiting VoteHillsborough.gov.

“If you’ve been displaced and need your ballot mailed to a different address, please call my office,” Latimer advised. “That will be the quickest way to get your ballot sent to your current location.”

On Election Day, voters must cast their ballots at the polling place assigned to their precinct. The Supervisor of Elections Office has confirmed that most polling places will be available, but there are five precincts where voters will be reassigned due to storm-related impacts:

  • Precinct 109: Voting moved from Joe Abrahams Fitness and Wellness Center to Victory Baptist Church, 6202 S MacDill Ave.
  • Precinct 127: Voting moved from Marjorie Park Marina to Islands Campus of South Tampa Fellowship Church, 97 Biscayne Ave.
  • Precinct 207: Voting moved from West Tampa Branch Library to David M Barksdale Center, 1801 N Lincoln Ave.
  • Precinct 243: Voting moved from Forest Hills Community Center to Forest Hills Presbyterian Church, 709 W Linebaugh Ave.
  • Precincts 410 and 413: Voting moved from Bay West Club to Cuban Civic Club, 10905 Memorial Hwy.

Voters will receive postcards notifying them of these changes, and signs will be posted at affected locations.

On Election Day, voters can look up their assigned polling place at VoteHillsborough.gov/voterlookup or call (813) 744-5900 if they need assistance.
