LARGO, Fla. – A two-alarm fire broke out at a commercial building in Largo early this morning, prompting a swift response from Largo Fire Rescue and neighboring agencies.
The fire was reported around 4:15 AM and caused heavy smoke and visible flames to erupt from the structure at 12673 59th Way N.

Firefighters battled the blaze, successfully bringing it under control after upgrading the incident to a second alarm.
Thankfully, the building was unoccupied at the time of the fire. However, one firefighter was transported to a hospital for evaluation and treatment.
Neighboring agencies and fire departments on scene included Sunstar, Pinellas County Sheriff, Pinellas Park, St. Petersburg, Lealman, and Seminole.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
