PASCO COUNTY, Fla. – A dump truck crash on Saturday afternoon closed southbound lanes of Interstate 75 in Pasco County, causing significant traffic disruptions.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the incident occurred at approximately 1:45 PM. A dump truck loaded with rock, driven by a 51-year-old man from Riverview, was traveling southbound on I-75.
North of State Road 56 (SR-56), the driver lost control of the vehicle, which overturned and spilled its load onto the highway.

The crash resulted in the closure of all southbound lanes of I-75, with traffic being diverted at State Road 54 (SR-54).
The driver of the dump truck sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital.
