LAKELAND, Fla. – A driver was killed in a single-vehicle crash on East Lake Parker Drive in Lakeland late Wednesday night.
Lakeland Police Department officers responded to the scene in the 3400 block of East Lake Parker Drive at approximately 10:35 p.m. on March 12, 2025. Upon arrival, they found a black Lexus sedan that had crashed.

According to preliminary investigations, the Lexus was traveling southbound on East Lake Parker Drive when, for reasons yet unknown, it veered off the roadway to the west. The vehicle then returned to the roadway, crossed the center line, and left the roadway on the east side. The Lexus continued through a chain-link fence before colliding with a tree.
Lakeland Police Department Patrol Units, Polk County Fire Rescue, and the Lakeland Fire Department responded to the scene and attempted life-saving measures. However, the driver was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The Lakeland Police Department’s Traffic Homicide Unit has taken over the investigation. The roadway was closed for approximately two hours while investigators processed the scene.
