PASCO COUNTY, Fla. – The Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) is searching for a female driver who fled the scene of a destructive crash that seriously injured a man in Land O’ Lakes early Tuesday morning.
The incident occurred around 12:33 a.m. on US-41. A Chevy Tahoe was traveling southbound when the driver lost control, veering off the roadway and onto the sidewalk. The vehicle traveled over 150 feet, striking a chain-link fence before colliding with a parked Honda Fit in a driveway.
The impact propelled the Honda Fit into a nearby home, followed by the Tahoe. The Honda Fit continued through an interior wall, striking a 37-year-old Tampa man inside.
The victim suffered serious injuries and was airlifted to a local hospital.

After the crash, the driver of the Tahoe exited her vehicle and fled the scene on foot. A witness described her as a white female in her mid-30s, approximately 5’7″ tall, with shoulder-length reddish-blonde hair.
