In a dramatic rescue operation that unfolded in the early hours of August 8th, Orange County Sheriff’s Office (OCSO) deputies risked their own lives to save a woman trapped in a submerged vehicle.
On the early morning of August 8th, responding to a vehicle crash into a lake, deputies arrived on the scene to find a man attempting to help as the vehicle was quickly sinking.

Without a second thought, deputies dove into the water, repeatedly submerging themselves to break windows and free a trapped woman.
Thanks to their selfless actions and determination, the woman was brought to safety without significant injuries.
