Department of Justice Chief of Public Affairs Nicholas Biase was secretly recorded by an undercover reporter calling the legal charges against former President Donald Trump “a travesty of justice.”
The undercover video, captured by Louder with Crowder’s MugClub Undercover unit, shows Biase discussing Trump’s upcoming sentencing by Judge Juan Merchan.
Trump was convicted in May of 34 counts of falsifying business records related to payments made to adult entertainer Stormy Daniels. Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg led the case, which Biase criticized, claiming Bragg “was stacking charges” to make the case fit.

Biase, who has known Bragg for 15 years and previously worked in his office, described the New York case as “nonsense” and claimed the charges were only brought because the defendant was Trump.
“Every real estate person in New York does what [Trump] did. Nobody’s ever been charged with this,” Biase remarked, adding that this is why Trump’s popularity has surged in polls, calling it “a perversion of justice.”
Biase also referred to Bragg’s key witness, former Trump lawyer Michael Cohen, as a “psycho.” Discussing Trump’s election interference case in Georgia, led by Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis, Biase echoed similar sentiments, calling it “a travesty of justice” and “a mockery of justice,” expressing disdain for Willis and her approach to the case.
Biase further suggested that Democrats are determined to make Trump “a convicted felon” through the series of indictments brought against him, describing their efforts as being driven by an obsession to take down the former president.
