HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. – A Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) is now open in Tampa to assist individuals, families, and businesses impacted by Hurricanes Milton, Helene, and Debby.
The center, located at the Arthenia L. Joyner University Area Community Library (13619 N. 22nd St., Tampa, FL 33613), will be open from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. today, November 6th. After today, it will operate daily from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. until further notice.

Representatives from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) will be available at the DRC to provide assistance and answer questions about disaster aid.
FEMA Assistance Available:
Hillsborough County residents impacted by the hurricanes may be eligible for FEMA’s Individuals and Households Program (IHP). This program offers financial and direct assistance to help residents meet basic needs and supplement disaster recovery efforts.
Assistance may include:
- Funds for temporary housing (rental assistance or hotel reimbursement)
- Funds for home repair or replacement
- Temporary housing units
- Hazard mitigation assistance to rebuild stronger homes
- Funds for other uninsured or underinsured disaster-related expenses

Residents can apply for FEMA assistance online at DisasterAssistance.gov, by phone at (800) 621-3362, or through the FEMA mobile app.
