CITRUS COUNTY, Fla. – A 40-year-old Beverly Hills man has been arrested on charges of possessing and transmitting child pornography, the Citrus County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) announced today.
Steven Kyle Maddox was taken into custody on March 20, 2025, after the CCSO High-Tech Crimes Unit (HTCU) executed a search warrant at his residence.
The investigation began following a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC). HTCU Detective Ben Wilson initiated an investigation, gathering information that ultimately identified Maddox as a suspect.

“Maddox used his electronic devices to possess and transmit CSAM, leaving behind a trail of clues leading to his identity,” said HTCU Sergeant Tiffany Barry. “Detective Wilson did an excellent job following that trail and building a strong case against Maddox. His dedication to pursuing these types of cases is exceptional.”
Maddox was transported to the Citrus County Detention Center, where he is being held without bond. He faces the following charges:
- Three Counts of Possession of Child Pornography
- One Count of Transmission of Child Pornography
The CCSO is continuing its investigation, and further charges are pending. The case will now proceed through the judicial system.
