HERNANDO COUNTY, FL. – On Saturday, just after 11 p.m., Hernando County Sheriff’s deputies were deployed in the area of Commercial Way and Pacific Avenue in Spring Hill searching for a Missing-Endangered Person.
As Hernando County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Jason Jernigan and K-9 Maxx searched the area, they encountered a suspicious vehicle behind a closed business, Imperial Dry Cleaners, located at 5081 Commercial Way.
Deputy Jernigan provided dispatch with a description of the vehicle along with a tag number. Deputy Jernigan also requested another unit, as he needed to continue searching for the Missing Endangered Person.
As other units responded to relieve Deputy Jernigan, dispatch advised the tag information did not match the vehicle it was attached to.
Deputies J. McClellan and V. Latty arrived to take over the investigation.
The deputies spoke with the driver, and sole occupant of the vehicle, Casey Tamyra Schiller. Schiller stated she is transient and living in her car in the parking lot, as her friend lives in a wooded area nearby.
A query of Schiller’s name revealed a Hernando County warrant for Failure to Appear.
As the deputies spoke with Schiller, they observed, in plain view, a meth pipe and a small backpack on the passenger seat. The residue in the pipe later tested positive as Methamphetamine.
Schiller was placed into custody for the Hernando County warrant.
A search of the vehicle subsequent to arrest revealed the following items:
- Red pill container with 22 pills – Alprazolam 1 mg
- 1 clear baggie with 7 pills – Morphine Sulfate 15 mg extended release
- 1 clear baggie with crystal like substance – Methamphetamine 5.09 grams
- Numerous small baggies
- Small portable scale with residue that tested positive as Methamphetamine
- 1 clear/white capsule containing a crystal like substance – Methamphetamine 20.3 grams
- 2 small white plastic containers which contained a green leafy substance
- 1 clear baggie with crystal like substance – Methamphetamine 109.00 grams.
The offense occurred within 1000 feet of a place of worship. Iglesias De Cristo Misionera Refugio De Salvacion is located at 5111 Commercial Way, Spring Hill.
Casey Tamyra Schiller, 36, was placed under arrest and charged with multiple drug offenses and 2 outstanding warrants.
