Deputies Say Teen Shooting In Palm Harbor Appears To Be Accidental

PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla.  - On Wednesday, June 14, 2023, at approximately 3:55 p.m., deputies responded to 3709 Cheltenham Drive in Palm Harbor after reports that a teen had been shot.

PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. – On Wednesday, June 14, 2023, at approximately 3:55 p.m., deputies responded to 3709 Cheltenham Drive in Palm Harbor after reports that a teen had been shot.

Once deputies arrived, they located a 15-year-old male victim with one gunshot wound to the face.

The other juvenile, a 15-year-old male, left the scene before deputies arrived.

Additional deputies who were responding to the scene were able to locate him a short distance away.

The victim was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and remains stable.

Detectives say at this point in the investigation; the shooting appears to be accidental.
