Deputies Find Large Nitrous Oxide Tank During Florida Keys Traffic Stop For No Headlights

MONROE COUNTY, Fla. – Two individuals were arrested on U.S. 1 in the Florida Keys after a traffic stop revealed a large tank of nitrous oxide and marijuana in their vehicle.

Yelson Eduardo Corrales Flores, 19, of Key Largo, and Allison Dawn Mansen, 21, of Miami, were both charged with unlawful distribution of nitrous oxide and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Flores also faces charges of marijuana possession.

The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office stopped the Acura sedan around 10:28 p.m. near Mile Marker 26 due to a lack of headlights.

Deputies detected a strong marijuana odor, leading to a search that uncovered the drugs and nitrous oxide tank. Mansen admitted to purchasing the nitrous oxide in Homestead using Flores’ money.

A 17-year-old male passenger was not charged in the incident.
