Debris From Wind Damage Closes Portions Of Cleveland Street In Clearwater

CLEARWATER, FL. – Cleveland Street is closed to vehicle and pedestrian traffic between Garden Avenue and East Avenue after some stucco from the Bank of America building fell during this morning’s high winds.

Station Square Park, where much of the debris fell, is also closed to the public.

City inspectors have determined there are no structural integrity issues with the building; the damage is only to the stucco on the exterior portion. The building is located at 600 Cleveland Street.

In addition, four people from two apartments were displaced after a tree fell in the 1200 block of North Osceola Avenue this morning. Portions of the tree breached the two apartments.

No injuries were reported. Clearwater Fire & Rescue Department crews worked to secure the structure.
