DEBARY, Fla. – Brandon Eugene Brooke, 30, of DeBary, Florida, has been sentenced to 15 months in federal prison for dealing firearms without a license. Brooke pleaded guilty to the charges in May 2024.

Between April and October 2022, Brooke purchased 69 firearms from licensed dealers, often buying identical firearms together or in quick succession.

This raised red flags for the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), who questioned Brooke about his activities. A search of his phone revealed evidence of illegal firearms dealing.

Despite being warned about the illegality of his actions, Brooke continued to deal firearms without a license. This led to his arrest and subsequent guilty plea.

The case was investigated by the ATF, the United States Postal Inspection Service, and Homeland Security Investigations. Assistant United States Attorney Noah P. Dorman prosecuted the case.

This case is part of Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN), a program that brings together law enforcement and communities to reduce violent crime and gun violence.
