RIVERVIEW, Fla. – The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal shooting that took place at a Waffle House in Riverview early this morning.
Just after 3:00 a.m. on November 2nd, deputies responded to a call reporting a shooting at the Waffle House located at 10041 US Highway 301 South. Upon arrival, they discovered a 60-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his upper body. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Detectives have determined that a verbal altercation occurred between the victim and the suspect prior to the shooting.
“We are committed to holding those responsible for such reckless violence accountable,” said Sheriff Chad Chronister. “We urge anyone with information that could help identify the suspect to come forward.”
