RUSKIN, Fla. – A 30-year-old Ruskin man in an SUV struck a 78-year-old man from Ruskin Friday morning around 10:30 a.m.
The SUV was traveling southbound on US-41, south of 11th Avenue NE. The 78-year-old pedestrian attempted to walk eastbound across US-41,
entered the path of the SUV, and was subsequently struck by the vehicle.
According to Florida Highway Patrol, the SUV came to a controlled stop, and the 78-year-old man suffered fatal injuries at the scene of the crash.
