Deadly Intersection: New Port Richey Teen Motorcyclist Killed In SR-52, US-41 Crash

PASCO COUNTY, Fla. – A 19-year-old New Port Richey man died following a collision between his motorcycle and a motorhome at the intersection of SR-52 and US-41 in Land O’ Lakes.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) report, the incident occurred on Thursday at approximately 6:10 PM.

The 19-year-old was operating a Yamaha motorcycle eastbound on SR-52. A 60-year-old Hudson woman was driving a motorhome northbound on US-41.

The FHP report indicates that as the motorcyclist attempted to turn right onto US-41, he overturned, entered the northbound lanes of US-41, and collided with the motorhome.

The motorcyclist was transported to a local hospital but later died from his injuries.

The driver of the motorhome was not identified in the report.

The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
