POLK COUNTY, Fla. – A 43-year-old Davenport man, Michael Konyha, was arrested on Monday, November 11th, after a bizarre incident in Haines City.

However, after further investigation, deputies determined that Konyha’s story was inconsistent with the evidence. Witnesses reported hearing a gunshot from inside a garage, and Konyha was found there with the gunshot wound.
Konyha, who has a history of felony convictions, was transported to a local hospital for treatment and subsequently arrested.
He faces charges related to the incident and an outstanding warrant from Georgia.
