POLK COUNTY, Fla. – A 63-year-old Davenport man, Ramchandra Mangal, was arrested on Tuesday, December 10th, by the Polk County Sheriff’s Office.
According to the arrest report, Mangal dined at a local restaurant on US 17/92 and left without paying his $11.66 bill. When deputies arrived, they found Mangal intoxicated and behaving erratically in a nearby flower bed.

The deputy suspected that Mangal was intoxicated, and Mangal himself confirmed that, stating that he had “been drinking throughout the day.”
“Mangal demanded that the deputy let him drive home, which the deputy refused to do. However, the deputy DID give Mangal a ride—to the jail,” said Polk County Sheriff’s Office.
Mangal was charged with disorderly intoxication and defrauding a food service establishment.
