Dade City Man Killed In Head-On Sumter County Crash

SUMTER COUNTY, Fla. – A Dade City man was killed in a crash that happened Sunday at around 9:45 pm.

Florida Highway Patrol said a Kia Soul was traveling northbound on US-301. 

Troopers say north of CR-700, the Kia entered the southbound lane of US-301 and collided nearly head-on with a Hyundai Elantra.

The driver of the Kia, a 49-year-old Dade City man, suffered fatal injuries at the scene of the crash. 

An 18-year-old Webster woman, driving the Hyundai, suffered minor injuries and was transported to an area hospital.
