PASCO COUNTY, Fla. – A Dade City man has been sentenced to nine years in federal prison for distributing methamphetamine.
Carlos Solorio, 25, pleaded guilty to the charges on November 7, 2024, and was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Steven D. Merryday.
According to court documents, Solorio sold three kilograms of methamphetamine to another individual in a grocery store parking lot in Dade City on May 31, 2023.

The drug deal was reportedly arranged by brokers in Mexico and Atlanta, Georgia.
The case was investigated by multiple agencies, including the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), the Pasco Sheriff’s Office, and the Tampa Police Department. Assistant United States Attorney David J. Pardo prosecuted the case.

This case was part of an Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force (OCDETF) investigation, which focuses on identifying, disrupting, and dismantling high-level criminal organizations involved in drug trafficking.
