Cyclist Fatally Struck By Pickup Truck In St. Petersburg Intersection

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – A bicyclist was killed after being struck by a pickup truck Saturday evening in St. Petersburg.

The crash occurred around 6:00 PM at the intersection of 54th Avenue North and Martin Luther King Jr. Street. According to police, a Ford pickup truck collided with a man riding a bicycle. The cyclist tragically died from his injuries at the scene.

The driver of the pickup truck remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation.

The intersection is closed in all directions while investigators process the scene and gather evidence.

The St. Petersburg Police Department is asking anyone with information about the crash to contact them.
