Crystal River Man’s Son-In-Law Arrested For His Murder: Citrus County Sheriff

CRYSTAL RIVER, Fla. – The Citrus County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) has announced the arrest of 43-year-old David P. Nemyier in connection with the homicide of 67-year-old Kyle D. Pazain of Crystal River. Nemyier, Pazain’s son-in-law, was taken into custody on Sunday, April 13th, following an intensive investigation.

The CCSO’s Criminal Investigation Division (CID) detectives had been working tirelessly since the discovery of suspicious circumstances surrounding Pazain’s death. Their investigation involved numerous interviews and the meticulous collection of both physical and digital evidence.

“From the moment they were alerted to the suspicious circumstances surrounding Pazain’s death, detectives have worked relentlessly through the weekend to piece together the details,” stated a CCSO press release.

Detectives were able to establish probable cause for Nemyier’s arrest. He has been charged with first-degree murder and is currently being held at the Citrus County Detention Facility without bond.

Sheriff David Vincent praised the dedication of his team, stating, “I am incredibly proud of our detectives and Forensics Unit for their dedication in quickly piecing together the difficult puzzle surrounding Mr. Pazain’s death in such an expedient manner. Their hard work has been instrumental in bringing us closer to a successful prosecution in this case.”
