DAVENPORT, Fla. – The Polk County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect involved in a criminal mischief incident that occurred on March 15th on Waverly Barn Road in Davenport.
A report released by the Sheriff’s Office details an incident that took place at approximately 4:30 in the morning. The unidentified male suspect allegedly intentionally smashed the rear window of a parked vehicle. He then reportedly attempted to break the window of a second vehicle, but was unsuccessful.

Investigators have obtained video surveillance of the suspect and are hoping someone in the community will recognize him. Further investigation led detectives to the nearby Love’s Travel Stop, where video footage captured the same individual purchasing cigarillos just minutes after the alleged crime.
Authorities have released images and video stills of the suspect, described as a white male with a distinctive large cross tattoo on his inner left forearm.
