COVID-19 Vaccinations for Polk County are Full and Closed For This Week

POLK COUNTY, Fla. – With a significant increase of phone calls regarding the vaccine in Polk County, the COVID-19 vaccination phone system is overwhelmed and shutting down, according to the Florida DOH.

In a statement, the DOH says, “Please do not call the COVID-19 Information Center for details about vaccination at this time as no additional slots are available yet. We will be opening another round of registrations this Friday for COVID-19 vaccination appointments next week.

“More information on how to register will be provided soon. Please continue to monitor our website at Polk.FloridaHealth.gov for updates on how to do so. Thank you for your patience and understanding. We understand these are stressful and challenging times for all. We are working diligently to resolve these issues and administer vaccine as quickly as possible to our residents.”

Polk’s COVID-19 vaccination appointments for this week are full and we will update this when they reopen the system.

As of January 4th, DOH-Polk has administered 4,801 COVID-19 vaccinations across the county.

  1. Begging for COVID Vaccination. I have tried to get an appointment on numerous occasions and after 176 phone calls, no luck. Someone please take pity on me and set me up with an appointment ANYWHERE. Thanks so much. Roy 405-612-5964
