HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. – Join the Hillsborough County Public Library Cooperative for engaging entertaining, and informative free programs for the entire family in June.

Holiday Closing 
Juneteenth – All Hillsborough County Public Library Cooperative libraries except Bruton Memorial Library will be closed on June 19.

Makerspace Orientation  
Visit the John F. Germany Makerspace for an overview of the devices and software available for use, featuring the Cricut Maker 3 electronic cutting machine, the t-shirt press, and more.

Campfire Story Mad Libs 
Join the staff for “Campfire Stories,” an exhilarating journey into the world of storytelling and wordplay for kids. In this interactive and laughter-filled session, participants will embark on an adventure like no other in Mad Libs style. Recommended for children ages 6 to 12. Underwater Exploration 
The library will dive into the crushing realm of the abyss. From shipwrecks to marine life, visitors will get an up-close and personal look at the fascinating world that lies beneath the surface. Explorers will get to paint a bioluminescent sea creature on canvas. Recommended for adults and registration is required. Register through the calendar feature at HCPLC.org

Clean Up After Your Adventure: Homemade Cleansing Set Join the library staff as they create their very own foaming hand soaps and sugar scrubs. These can make great homemade gifts for friends and family. Allergy note: Attendees will encounter essential oils and coconut oils. Recommended for adults and registration is recommended. Constellation Station 
Join the library staff in a “night-time adventure,” and learn about the stars to create your own constellation. Recommended for children ages 6 to 12. Registration is recommended.

Drawstring Adventure Backpacks 
Design your own drawstring backpack and learn how to use the Silhouette software to create an iron-on design of your choosing. No design skills necessary. Recommended for teens. Registration is recommended.

Paracords: A Survivalist’s Tool 
Learn how to survive the outdoors with a paracord bracelet tool that has a whistle and compass that you can wear around your wrist. Recommended for teens ages 13 to 17. Registration is recommended on the calendar feature at HCPLC.org.

Geography Game Show: Where’d You Learn That?  
Participate in the library’s Geography Game Show and learn how to search through one of the valuable online library resources for children: the World Book Encyclopedia. Recommended for ages 6 to 12. Registration is recommended.

Children’s Theatre: The Imaginators 
Anne and her imaginative little brother, Tim, have moved into a new neighborhood.

Anne is concerned with making new friends and fitting in, while Tim is content making up new stories. Anne and Tim meet their eccentric neighbor, Nina Francis Elizabeth Vanderhelden, and she encourages them to go on grand make-believe adventures using boxes and other found items in their garage. Recommended for ages 4 and up.
