LAKELAND, Fla – A convicted felon has been identified as the Lakeland armed carjacker, and deputies need your help locating him.
27-year-old Robert Lee Williams has been identified as the suspect in the armed robbery of a ride-share driver on April 2nd in the Wildlife Trails area of Lakeland.
The victim had his 11-year-old son in the car when Williams pointed a short-barrel shotgun at them and demanded the victim’s car keys, wallet, and cell phone, then drove off in the car.

Williams is a convicted felon and therefore is prohibited from possessing a firearm.
He was identified after numerous anonymous tips were received, deputies say.
