Concern Grows For Spring Hill Woman Who Disappeared From Hurricane Shelter

HERNANDO COUNTY, Fla. – The Hernando County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in locating Moira Bossard, a 78-year-old woman who was last seen on October 8th, 2024.

Deputies say Bossard was seen entering a hurricane shelter at Challenger K-8 school in Spring Hill, but she did not check in and has not been seen since. Her vehicle, a white 2021 Toyota Corolla with Florida license plate Y31HIP, is also missing.

Prior to her disappearance, neighbors reported that Ms. Bossard appeared confused and had mentioned driving to Tennessee to be with family. However, she has not arrived at any known family residences in Tennessee.

Although Ms. Bossard has not been diagnosed with any cognitive impairment, her behavior prior to her disappearance raises concerns for her well-being.
