“In terms of the election, I think people were ready for a change,” Gable said to WITN News. “He’s been there 20 years not that it’s a negative thing, it’s just people want a fresh face in the office that going to represent them.”
Born and raised in North Carolina, Wyatt Gable developed an interest in politics at a young age. Growing up in a politically active family, he witnessed firsthand the impact that public service can have on a community.
Gable’s passion for politics was further fueled by his experiences during the COVID-19 pandemic, which he believes led to an erosion of individual freedoms.
Inspired to make a difference, Gable decided to enter the world of politics and challenge the status quo.
The Road to Victory
Gable’s journey to victory began with a grassroots campaign that focused on connecting with voters on a personal level. He spent countless hours knocking on doors, making phone calls, and engaging with constituents to understand their concerns and aspirations.
Gable’s hard work and dedication paid off, as he managed to garner support from a diverse range of voters, including young conservatives and disillusioned older voters who were looking for a fresh face in politics.
“We did a lot of door knocking, a lot of phone calls,” Wyatt stood WITN. “I know people appreciate that face-to-face contact.”

The Primary Election Upset
In a stunning upset, Wyatt Gable emerged victorious in the Republican primary, defeating an 84-year-old incumbent state representative, George Cleveland. Gable’s victory by a narrow margin of 95 votes sent shockwaves through the political establishment and signaled a changing tide in North Carolina politics.
The win not only showcased Gable’s strong appeal among voters but also highlighted their desire for new voices and fresh ideas in government.
Gable’s Vision for North Carolina
As a college student himself, Gable understands the challenges faced by young people in North Carolina. His platform focuses on three key areas: education, national security, and fiscal responsibility.
Gable believes that the education system needs to be reformed to better prepare students for the real world. He advocates for the inclusion of practical subjects like home economics, shop, and carpentry to equip students with essential life skills.
National Security and Eminent Domain
Another critical aspect of Gable’s platform is national security, particularly in relation to China. He highlights the need to address the Chinese Communist Party’s ownership of thousands of acres in North Carolina and proposes using eminent domain to reclaim those lands.
Gable believes that protecting American interests and safeguarding national security should be top priorities for elected officials.

Fiscal Responsibility and Lower Taxes
Gable is also a staunch advocate for fiscal responsibility. He believes that the federal and state governments spend too much money, leading to an unnecessary burden on taxpayers.
Gable aims to rein in government spending, reduce waste, and lower taxes for North Carolina residents. By promoting responsible financial practices, he hopes to create a more prosperous and sustainable future for the state.
Inspiring a New Generation of Republicans
Beyond his policy proposals, Wyatt Gable has a larger ambition: to inspire young Americans to become politically engaged and consider joining the Republican Party.
Gable recognizes that the GOP needs to rebrand itself and elect candidates who resonate with a broader demographic. By running as a young conservative, he hopes to encourage other young people to get involved in politics and contribute to the conservative movement.
The General Election and Beyond
With the primary victory under his belt, Wyatt Gable now sets his sights on the general election in November.
While his district has historically leaned Republican, Gable is not taking anything for granted.
Gable told WITN, “Play golf tomorrow, I know that for sure, and then take a little break from politics over spring and summer and then really get back to it and hit it hard in November.”
