Coalition Forces And Iraqi Partners Strike ISIS, Disrupt Terrorist Networks: US CENTCOM

In a series of successful operations, Iraqi Security Forces (ISF), supported by Coalition Forces, have dealt significant blows to ISIS in Iraq.

On October 22nd, the ISF, enabled by the Combined Joint Task Force-Operation Inherent Resolve (CJTF-OIR), conducted strikes and raids on multiple ISIS locations in central Iraq. These operations targeted senior ISIS leaders and resulted in the death of at least seven ISIS operatives. Two U.S. military personnel were wounded during the operation but are in stable condition.

Earlier in October, on the 14th and 15th, the ISF, again with CJTF-OIR support, carried out airstrikes in northeastern Iraq, eliminating four ISIS members, including a senior leader.

These Iraqi-led operations aimed to disrupt and degrade ISIS attack networks within the country.

U.S. Forces Intercept Iranian-Supplied Weapons

In a separate development, U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) forces successfully neutralized 15 aerial drones, cruise missiles, and surface-to-air missiles in the region.

These Iranian-supplied weapons, launched by Houthi rebels and Iranian-aligned militia groups, posed a threat to U.S. forces, allies, partners, and civilians. The weapons were intercepted by U.S. Air Force and Navy assets.

U.S. and coalition forces remain vigilant and prepared to defend U.S. interests and those of its allies and partners in the region.
