Charlie Crist Running For Governor Florida

CNN Analyst Says Florida Gov. DeSantis “Gamed” The System To Crush Democratic Opponent

Apparently denying election results is fine now so long as it’s the left people doing the denying.

Apparently denying election results is fine now so long as it’s the left people doing the denying.

Liberal commentator Ana Navarro offers a recent example.

While part of an election-analysis panel on CNN on Wednesday, Navarro claimed that Florida Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis thrashed Democrat Charlie Crist on Tuesday because he “gamed the system.”

Navarro began her rant by pointing out that DeSantis in 2018 narrowly defeated Andrew Gillum, the black, “progressive” former mayor of Tallahassee. How, she asked, could DeSantis go from that to absolutely crushing an equally progressive Crist this time?

She argued that the results of Tuesday’s election were being “completely misread.”

“I think the narrative is all wrong,” Navarro continued. “He won by 20 percentage points. Why? Because he gamed the system,” Navarro said. “Because he turned Florida into an unlevel playing field.”

She then goes on to cite changes in elections law to make it “harder” to vote by mail, although the change was to require an ID when requesting a mail-in ballot.

The laws were also changed to ensure that so-called drop boxes were monitored at all times by election personal, and not able to be accessed during hours when no one supervised them.

Navarro also complained that black people were “paraded” in front of cameras for voting illegally, as part of the state’s new election-security unit, which Navarro also condemned.

The authorities arrested just 20 people for election fraud, and that was done because they were convicted felons who voted without abiding by the state’s new laws governing how former convicts have their voting rights restored.

Then, weirdly, as part of DeSantis’ gaming the system, an unhinged Navarro added that DeSantis was somehow at fault for being good at his job, good as a campaigner, and for Democrats choosing a lackluster retread like Crist to represent them.

“He was also very good at responding to hurricanes and other tragedies. He also invested with laser focus in Miami-Dade [County],” said Navarro.

Navarro also lamented a “depressed, deflated” vote by Democrats, since overall turnout was 10 percentage points lower in 2022 than in 2018. “Who can blame them when you nominate a corpse?” she said of Crist.

The Twitter account DeSantis War Room, which supports the governor, taunted Navarro for her “deranged” remarks, tweeting, “Ana Navarro knows well why @RonDeSantisFL won, she just can’t admit it on CNN. She probably voted for him.”
