CLEARWATER, Fla. – The Clearwater Public Library System invites residents to join them for an all-ages summer reading program which will run from June 5 through July 31.
“All Together Now” is the summer theme, and the free programs will focus on kindness, friendship, unity and, of course, reading.
To help participants track their reading and earn prizes, the library is offering a summer reading challenge, which can be accessed through Beanstack, a free online service that offers unique and fun ways to connect children, teens and adults with books, activities and challenges.
As participants track their reading on the Beanstack website and mobile app, they can earn online badges and prizes.

Children ages 12 and younger can earn prizes from the prize machine for every five days of reading, a themed 3D print at 15 days, and a Threshers game ticket at 30 days.
Teen prizes include a set of ear buds and a Threshers game ticket. Kids and teens completing all 50 days of reading will receive a combo card to Raising Cane’s.
Adults are encouraged to join the challenge, too. They will receive a welcome gift when they sign up, earn online badges, and can become eligible for an end-of summer prize raffle.
Anyone can sign up for the summer reading program through the library’s Beanstack page at MyClearwaterLibrary.Beanstack.com/Reader365.
Youth Summer Library Programming
In addition to the online reading challenge, all Clearwater library locations will continue to offer a series of fun and enriching programs:
Kids are natural helpers. This summer, caregivers and children can volunteer together packing snacks for underprivileged children with our community partner Lotz of Blessings during our systemwide “Kids are Kind” Fridays. Snack packs will then be donated to Hope Villages of Clearwater.

Each Clearwater Library location will present a weekly entertainer with acts such as magicians, storytellers, balloon artists, live animal shows, and more.
Passport Adventures will expose youth and teens to a different culture around the world each week.
There will also be several of the popular STEAM and art youth programs.
The library is partnering with UF/IFAS Extension Family Nutrition Program to offer Cooking Matters for Kids, a hands-on series of programs that includes meal planning tips, activities, handouts, recipes and food tastings.
Teen & Adult Summer Library Programming
The ever-popular teen “Game On” series continues with weekly Dungeon and Dragons, as well as trading cards and video games.
Adults can now join in with their own “Geek Out Game Night.”
If you are looking for a book club to meet and discuss interesting titles this summer, we will offer three different options: the Beach Book Club at the Beach Branch, the Page Turners Book Club at the East Community Library at St. Petersburg College, and the virtual Club de Escucha, “Agua Clara.”
