CLEARWATER, Fla. – In preparation for possible impacts from tropical weather expected this weekend, the city of Clearwater is offering free sandbags to residents while supplies last.

Residents can pick up a maximum of 10 prefilled sandbags per vehicle at the Joe DiMaggio Sports Complex, located at 2450 Drew Street. It’s important to note that sandbags are intended for residents who anticipate flooding of less than 15 inches and will not protect against significant storm surge.
