CLEARWATER, Fla. – Clearwater Police Department is investigating an armed robbery that occurred Wednesday evening at the Publix located at 1295 S. Missouri Ave.
At approximately 7:00 p.m., two suspects, described as a Black male and a White male, were on bicycles outside the store when one of them forcefully removed a firearm from the holster of a security guard.
The guard sustained minor injuries in the fall and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

A 16-year-old juvenile has been arrested and charged with armed robbery and is currently being held at the Pinellas Juvenile Assessment Center.
The investigation into a second suspect, also a juvenile, has concluded with his arrest on Friday night. The 14-year-old is also facing armed robbery charges and is being held at the same center.
No further information is expected to be released at this time.
