PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. – A 69-year-old Clearwater man was fatally struck by two vehicles early Saturday morning while attempting to cross Ulmerton Road.
The Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) responded to the scene, west of 40th Street North, around 2:55 AM.
According to the FHP report, a Honda Odyssey driven by a 36-year-old Clearwater man and a Nissan Sentra driven by a 39-year-old Cutler Bay man were both traveling eastbound on Ulmerton Road.
A pedestrian attempted to cross the highway and was struck by both vehicles in rapid succession.

Sadly, the pedestrian, a 69-year-old Clearwater resident, suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
