CLEARWATER, Fla. – The Clearwater Police Department, Largo Police Department, and Clearwater Fire & Rescue will take the field Saturday for a charity softball game at BayCare Ballpark.
The 21st Annual Charity Softball Challenge pits Clearwater firefighters against police officers from Largo and Clearwater.
The first pitch is at 4 p.m., and proceeds from the game and a silent auction benefit the family of a Clearwater firefighter whose sister was killed late last year.

Tickets are $20 and include the softball game, a Clearwater Threshers game at 6:30 p.m. against the Fort Myers Mighty Mussels, free food and drink between 5:30 and 8 p.m., and a fireworks show after the Threshers game. Children 4 and under are free.
Tickets will be available at the gates, which will open at 3:15 p.m.
