City of Tampa Will “Light the Night” In Respect for Fallen Firefighters

TAMPA, Fla. – Every October the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation sponsors the National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Weekend, the official national tribute to those firefighters who died in the line of duty during the previous year.

Every October the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation sponsors the National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Weekend, the official national tribute to those firefighters who died in the line of duty during the previous year.

The NFFF has also asked fire service organizations to participate in the nationwide Light the Night tribute from September 27 to October 4.

The City of Tampa will participate in this tribute the evening of Saturday, October 3 when Old City Hall, Curtis Hixon Park, the Riverwalk, and the downtown bridges over the Hillsborough River will be bathed in red light to honor America’s fallen heroes.
