City Of Tampa Says More People Trust Local Government In New Survey Release

TAMPA, FL. – The City of Tampa (COT) has released results of its 2021 Citizen Value Survey. The city says the results show rising trust in city government and a substantial increase in the number of residents who recommend Tampa as a place to open a business.

“The Citizen Values Survey is an important tool in measuring residents’ satisfaction of the City of Tampa’s work and its direction,” said Mayor Jane Castor. “It shows that we are on the right path.”

In 2020 and 2021, the COT surveyed a broad spectrum of residents from across the city to determine their satisfaction with the COT on key issues facing our community.

Trust in the COT improved markedly from 2020 to 2021. Tampa outscores the national average for trust in local government. 93 percent of residents have expressed trust in the City of Tampa Government, an increase of four percent from the year prior.
