TAMPA, Fla. – City Offices Closed for July 4th: In observance of Independence Day, all City of Tampa offices will be closed on Thursday, July 4th, 2024.
Trash Collection Schedule Changes:
- Residential Customers: There will be no garbage, recycling, or yard waste collection for residents normally scheduled for pick-up on Thursday, July 4th. There is no make-up day for this missed service. Your next scheduled collection day will resume as usual.
- Commercial Customers: Collection will be delayed by one day for businesses typically serviced on Thursdays. Pick-up will resume on Friday, July 5th, with a one-day delay continuing through Saturday, July 6th. Regular service schedules will resume on Monday, July 8th.

McKay Bay Transfer Station Closure: The McKay Bay Transfer Station and Scale House will also be closed on Thursday, July 4th. It will reopen with temporary hours of 8:00 am to noon on Friday, July 5th.
