CITRUS COUNTY, Fla. – A 17-year-old Citrus Springs boy was killed in a head-on crash that happened on Saturday around 6:55 p.m.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a Toyota Tundra, driven by a 65-year-old Homosassa man, was traveling southbound on Citrus Avenue.
Troopers say just North of West Marquette Lane, the Homosassa man failed to maintain control of the vehicle, crossed over the center line, and collided nearly head-on with a 2011 Buck Regal driven by the Citrus Springs teen.

Tragically, the collision resulted in fatal injuries to all occupants of both vehicles at the scene of the crash, including a passenger in the Toyota, a 44-year-old Homosassa woman.
