CITRUS COUNTY, Fla. – The Citrus County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) has added three new K-9 deputies to its ranks. K-9 Knight, K-9 Recon, and K-9 Kodak recently completed their rigorous training and certification process, officially joining the CCSO K-9 Unit.

Each K-9 and their handler underwent extensive training, including tracking, narcotics detection, suspect apprehension, and obedience.

  • K-9 Knight, a 15-month-old Dutch Shepherd, is partnered with Deputy Daniel Elias.
  • K-9 Recon, a 14-month-old German Shepherd, is partnered with Deputy Emory Parrish.
  • K-9 Kodak, a 21-month-old Belgian Malinois, replaces K-9 Odie, who retired in October 2024 after nearly six years of service. K-9 Kodak is partnered with Deputy David Elias.
