CITRUS COUNTY, Fla. – Citrus County Schools are celebrating a major milestone as the district’s high school graduation rate for the class of 2024 has soared to a record-breaking 91.6%, a significant jump from 84.9% the previous year.
This impressive achievement places Citrus County above the state average, which rose from 88.0% to 89.7% over the same period. The district’s remarkable 6.7% increase in graduation rates highlights its dedication to student success and continuous improvement.

Individual School Success
All three high schools in the district demonstrated exceptional performance:
- Lecanto High School: 94.7%
- Citrus High School: 94.2%
- Crystal River High School: 93%
Superintendent of Schools Dr. Scott Hebert expressed his pride in the accomplishment, stating, “This remarkable achievement is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our students and staff.
