Citra Woman Killed In Head-On Collision With Road-Marking Truck On US-301 In Pasco County

PASCO COUNTY, Fla. – A 32-year-old Citra woman tragically lost her life in a head-on collision on US-301 Tuesday at around 10:34 pm.

According to preliminary reports, the woman was driving a Chevy Cobalt northbound on US-301 when she lost control of the vehicle.

The car crossed the median and collided nearly head-on with a southbound road-marking truck actively painting lines on the roadway.

The driver of the Chevy Cobalt suffered fatal injuries at the scene. The driver of the road marking truck, a 54-year-old Polk City man, and his passenger, a 23-year-old Zephyrhills man, were uninjured in the accident.

The crash occurred north of Mattingly Lane and is under investigation.
