A former CIA official has been arrested in connection with the leak of classified documents revealing Israel’s plans for a potential military strike against Iran.
Asif W. Rahman, who held a top-secret security clearance, was apprehended in Cambodia by the FBI. He is facing two counts of willful retention and transmission of national defense information, charges that carry significant prison time.
The leaked documents, believed to originate from the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency and the National Security Agency, were posted on a Telegram channel in October.

They detailed Israel’s preparations for a retaliatory attack against Iran following a barrage of Iranian missile strikes.
Rahman’s arrest comes shortly after the sentencing of Jack Teixeira, an Air National Guardsman who leaked classified Pentagon documents.
The recent leak highlights ongoing concerns about the security of sensitive government information and the potential consequences of unauthorized disclosures.
