CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. – The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit recently concluded “Operation Deal Breaker”, a countywide operation that resulted in the arrest of 37 individuals on felony drug-related charges.
Of these, 72 charges were for sale and delivery, and 20 cases involved trafficking amounts of Fentanyl or Methamphetamine, carrying potential sentences of 3 to 25 years.

“I want to recognize my Narcotics team for their consistent and dedicated work in the fight to keep our community clean. It is a sad thing to see so many affected by this lifestyle, but I cannot sit back and hope it magically gets better. There are programs available to help addicts, but these individuals are refusing those programs and spreading their poison in my county, and that just isn’t acceptable,” said Charlotte County Sheriff Bill Prummell.
The operation successfully removed numerous drug traffickers and dealers from the streets and seized significant quantities of dangerous narcotics. In total, over 630 grams of Methamphetamine, 64.9 grams of Fentanyl, 58.63 grams of Cocaine, and 23 grams of Opiates were confiscated.
